This was a really cool restaurant! Eating here was really cool because there was a nice breeze and beautiful view of the water. The service was great. They were able to do the tuna tostada as a beet tostada, which was delicious. The guac was also very fresh too! I'd definitely come back!

Father's Day was gloomy at Coasterra but it still provided a great view of the water! I originally booked a reservation beginning of June because I knew it was going to be busy. I did prefer outside seating, however, we were seated indoors. I didn't mind too much since it was cold, but they did not honor seating preferences. Ceviche Trio (2/5): I've had a better fair of ceviche and this trio was not worth it. I wanted my family to try multiple things but this wasn't our favorite. Crispy Masa Calamari (4/5): This was a nice appetizer and the batter is crispy! I liked the chipotle aioli they smothered on the plate. White Corn & Poblano Soup (4/5): This was a nice sweet flavor without it being too overwhelming with corn. It was a thick consistency and tasted like a cheddar soup. Prime 32oz Ribeye (5/5): This was the best entree that was fulfilling in flavor and portion size. This could have easily almost fed 3-4 people, but is listed as an entree for two. For accompaniments the mushrooms, green beans, and patatas bravas were all delicious choices! Other items ordered were the Crispy Carnitas En Adobo Tomatillo and Chargrilled Carne Asada. The carnitas is a very small portion so just be wary. We had a wonderful server! He ensured us of how long it will be since we did order steaks and dishes that need more time. Entrees took ~35 min and we did get too full off of chips and salsa by the time. I'm not too keen on coming back for the food, however, it was a great space for the views and to celebrate holidays. My rating overall would be about a 3.5 stars for Coasterra.

Had a work dinner here and it was such a beautiful experience. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening city view of SD. Service was friendly and attentive, kindly explaining dishes that we had questions about. I got a cocktail that had lemon and lavender, which was delicious and refreshing. My entree was pork belly with generously large scallops, which melted in my mouth. The desserts our group shared were also great (if you have the appetite for it, or go with a large group, I'd recommend you try one of every dessert!)

Absolutely loved our dinner here! The service staff were phenomenal. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I ordered the Skirt Steak for dinner and it was the best! So flavorful. The butter they put on top is magic! We made sure to make a reservation and they were very accommodating when we needed to move the time a bit. However, we asked to sit inside, and we were told it was "fully booked" but there was not a single person sat inside for the entirety of our 2 hours at the restaurant. So that was weird. Maybe they didn't have the staff for it? Honesty would just be great! I also drank the strawberry spritz and probably would not order it again. It was okay. I definitely thought it was going to taste a little sweeter and more like strawberry because of the name. However, it was just a normal aperol spritz to my taste buds! I would absolutely come back here. The views are stunning and can't be beat. The food was phenomenal, and the service was great too.

I recently enjoyed a delightful lunch at Coasterra, located at the San Diego harbor. The restaurant offers a stunning view of downtown's skyline and harbor which provided a beautiful backdrop for our meal. The cocktails were expertly crafted and delicious, adding a refreshing touch to the experience. As someone with high standards for Mexican cuisine, I was pleased to find the food flavorful and well-prepared. Every dish showcased a blend of traditional Mexican flavors with a modern twist. Overall, Coasterra exceeded my expectations. The combination of the scenic views, tasty food, and amazing cocktails made for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal in San Diego. Service can be improved.

I organized a group lunch here for 26 people. We all game from sailing, so we were definitely parched and hungry upon arrival. Servers were on top of us for drinks and food. They were quick to replenish our chips and salsa too! I enjoyed the shrimp tacos for my main course and they were so flavorful, fresh, and just so good! Highly recommend.

A colleague and I stopped in for dinner due to a suggestion from a local friend. This place was culinary heaven. the drinks, the service and the quality of food were the best we've had all week. I've attached a few pictures. We ordered four separate appetizers split an entrée, and there was not a single thing that came out that was not plated beautifully and packed with incredible taste. Great work folks. This is a spot you need to hit. More details on the attached photos.

Evening Dinner with my family to celebrate my wife's (Baby Mammas) birthday. Noticed nice firepits prior to entering the restaurant. They stood out with fashion. Checked in. We were all greeted and seated for a party of 7. The location they seated us was nice! We can see the entire city of San Diego. City lights with the nighttime sky reflecting on the waterfront. Ordered our drinks and appetizers. Received all within 15 minutes. Ordered tableside Guacamole as well. The young man by the name of Thor prepared our Table side Guacamole. Made it perfect to the T! He was chopping up conversations with all of us in a friendly matter which made our dining experience pleasant. The other hand our Waiter by the name of Josh did a decent job but lacked more customer service authenticity. Not sure if that was his certain demeanor of character, he was a little bit on the abrasive side when serving us. It was not Genuine service, but forced. Example of his character is hurry up, hurry up and order now! That is what we all felt. Overall, that did not stop us from having fun. "Maybe Josh is not aware of his tone and needs to be addressed through this Yelp review." Received our food, all was very good! No complaints about this place. Ambiance was nice, restrooms were clean, service was friendly, the food and drinks were great! I recommend this place as a date night. Make sure you request to be seated outside to view downtown San Diego. I felt like I was in New York, over viewing the city of Manhattan. Great place, a little bit on the pricey side. "You get what you pay for at this establishment."
